POTD 2018/001. Profile in Strength

We begin this year with the celebration of a fierce, funny, adventurous, assertive, brave, smart, curious, and creative girl: my niece Aislinn.

Her portrait serves as an inspiration to me, as I hope it does you too, and an affirmation that what's inside you, your strength and character, counts.

As I begin my seventh Photo of the Day annual album with my 1,668th photo (2013 didn't start until later in the year if you're doing math), I wanted to begin this new year and continue this almost seven year tradition with a photograph that is important to me. This young woman's portrait fits the bill!
