For last week's Throwback Thursday (TBT) I ran a photograph of the SR-71 Blackbird taken at the Smithsonian Institute Air and Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Virginia. Some asked if I had any similar shots of the space shuttle and I replied that I did and would run it for another TBT after the holidays since all of the TBTs between now and then are slated to be images from Christmas past.

While I don't have the shuttle in this one, it is a nod to that request, giving a little more of the museum (and that SR-71 in the background) while turning out an image from Christmas 2014.

Framed beneath the dramatic flying scene in the main hangar of the Udvar-Hazy center we see the U.S. Air Force Band's commander & conductor Col. Larry H. Lang leading the band in their second annual flash mob.
